Internship Program

We specialize in helping students and young professionals have a unique internship experience. It's no secret that internships are the most effective way for students to gain work experience before graduation. In fact, in the last year 3 out of 5 internships turn into full-time jobs.

We are currently working with LSU and Grand Canyon University.

Our interns receive:  Training in play therapy and couples counseling.

Beyond Counseling only accepts 2-3 interns per year.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Leaf Pattern Design

- Alicia Rene Andrade, MC, CCTS-I, Former Beyond Counseling Clinical Intern

" As an incoming therapist, I wanted an internship experience that would allow for me to delve into the world of private practice. From the first time I walked into Beyond Counseling, LLC, I knew it would be a special opportunity. I was treated as though I was an integrated part of the team, not so much an intern. I was able to gain competence in areas that will benefit me as a therapist, and as an individual. My supervisor consistently challenged me to do and be my best, while keeping a supportive and professional relationship. If you are looking for a diverse team of passionate and independent therapists, this is the place for you. Thank you Beyond Counseling for making the practice feel like home.  "

- K. Collins, Former Beyond Counseling Clinical Intern

"Having the opportunity to intern at Beyond Counseling has been incredibly impactful in further developing my counseling skills. I was fortunate enough to not only be a part of a team, but what felt like a family who I was able to turn to for support and consultation when needed. Beyond Counseling provided me with many different training experiences, as well as being able to work with a diverse case load. Being able to learn about the intricacies of running a private practice was an extra bonus as I hope to someday have my own practice. Interning at Beyond Counseling allows you to further explore and develop competencies not only in individual therapy, but also in child, family, and couple's counseling."
