Rosa Ruales is a Licensed Professional Counselor working with child, adolescent, individual and family therapy in English and Spanish. She creates a safe and compassionate environment in which self-understanding and self-empowerment are explored and promoted to create healthier, sustainable, and greatly fulfilling change. She is trained in the use of Sand Therapy and play therapy. Ms. Ruales has been trained in the Gottman Method for Couples Counseling (level 3) and hypnotherapy. She currently provides services for a professional baseball team.

Alex is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. Alex has more than 20 years of experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field. He completed his undergraduate studies in psychology and graduated with a master's degree in mental health counseling. Prior to worning to Beyond Counseling, Alex has been working as the Clinical Director for an SMI clinic in Chandler, AZ and he spent 5 years as Clinical Director of a Psychiatric Hospital in Utah. Alex is EMDR certified and has been trained in the Gottman Method Level 1 for Couples Counseling. He enjoys working with teens, couples, and adults in English and Spanish. He also has considerable experience working with autism disorder. In his spare time, Alex enjoys traveling around the world with his beautiful wife.

Angel Paige is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor in Arizona. Angel is also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Minnesota. She is a board-approved supervisor with each license she holds in each state. Angel has worked in the mental health field since 2006. She has experience in residential and outpatient treatment settings and private practice. Angel has also been in the chemical dependency field since 2012 in various work environments, she has been a Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Clinical Director. Angel’s approach to counseling is calm and supportive. She enjoys working with adults, couples, and families. Angel’s training includes an Adlerian background and generally focuses on client-centered care, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Family Systems Modalities. Angela Binns is a licensed Master Social Worker. Angela completed her master’s degree from University of Denver in 2021, specializing in trauma-in formed care, Angela has worked as a school social worker in Phoenix and Tempe public Schools over the last two years working with children ages 5-11 year olds and their families. She uses Cognitive Behavioral and play therapy techniques. Her experience includes but is not limited to those struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, communication, self-awareness, life adjustments and children with Asperger/autism. She creates a safe, non-judgmental and open environment in which to explore the gifts of each individual client. She allows them the space to for clients to navigate, express themselves safely while learning new ways to effectively communicate with others, increase self-esteem and build more fulfilling relationships.

He started in substance abuse. He worked in the field as a mental health case manager. He continued my education because I wanted to help individuals and families. serving the elderly, adults, adolescents, couples, and children providing individual, and family counseling. He creates a safe, compassionate and a friendly environment to support people overcoming challenges in their life. He works with people in all walks of life, and with a variety of populations: children, adolescents, and adults. Some of her specialities are anxiety, depression, grief, stress, parenting, and trauma among others.

Presently, she works with couples, individuals and families with adult children. During her time as a therapist, Desirai has worked with diverse cultural groups and marginalized populations, and provides an inclusive atmosphere to the broad spectrum of adult concerns. She believes in providing holistic care for clients and focuses on all aspects of a person’s life in her therapeutic approach. As a therapist, Desirai understands the enduring stigma related to seeking treatment for mental health and is devoted to opening the doors for discussion and normalizing ‘asking for help’.

Hello, my name is Abby Lyon, I am a third-year graduate student currently pursuing her degree in Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on Trauma from Grand Canyon University. I obtained her Bachelors in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University. I treat young adults, adults and have particular interest in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, ADHD, substance abuse, co-dependency, and working with the LGBTQ+ population. Carlee Bornhoft is a local student with a passion for helping others. She has attended multiple local Maricopa Community Colleges, Arizona State University, and now Grand Canyon University with several different psychology degrees. At the community college level she obtained a AA in psychology, at the undergrad level she obtained a BS in family and human development, and now finally at Grand Canyon University, she is in her last year of her master program in clinical mental health psychology counseling. She is eager to help adolescents, young adults, and couples with ideals such as depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+, substance abuse, co-dependency, OCD, trauma and other life issues.
