Rosa Ruales, MC., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor Bilingual Therapist (English/Spanish)

Rosa Ruales is a Licensed Professional Counselor working with child, adolescent, individual and family therapy in English and Spanish.  She creates a safe and compassionate environment in which self-understanding and self-empowerment are explored and promoted to create healthier, sustainable, and greatly fulfilling change.  He is trained in the use of Sand Therapy and play therapy.    Ms. Ruales has been trained in the Gottman Method for Couples Counseling (level 3) and hypnotherapy. She currently provides services for a professional baseball team.

Isabella Moreno, Ed. S., M.S., LPC,

Ms. Moreno has received training in Structural Family Therapy at the Child Guidance Clinic and University of Pennsylvania and a post graduate certification in marriage and family therapy from Saint Mary’s University, MN.  Ms. Moreno is also a nationally and Arizona certified school psychologist, where she has worked in public schools for more than 20 years.

Alex Gonzales, NCC, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Alex is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. Alex has more than 20 years of experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field. He completed his undergraduate studies in psychology and graduated with a master's degree in mental health counseling. Prior to worning to Beyond Counseling, Alex has been working as the Clinical Director for an SMI clinic in Chandler, AZ and he spent 5 years as Clinical Director of a Psychiatric Hospital in Utah. Alex is EMDR certified and has been trained in the Gottman Method Level 1 for Couples Counseling. He enjoys working with teens, couples, and adults in English and Spanish. He also has considerable experience working with autism disorder. In his spare time, Alex enjoys traveling around the world with his beautiful wife.

Angel Paige, LPC, LISAC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Substance Abuse Counselor

 

Angel Paige is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor in Arizona. Angel is also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Minnesota. She is a board-approved supervisor with each license she holds in each state. Angel has worked in the mental health field since 2006. She has experience in residential and outpatient treatment settings and private practice. Angel has also been in the chemical dependency field since 2012 in various work environments, she has been a Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Clinical Director. Angel’s approach to counseling is calm and supportive. She enjoys working with adults, couples, and families. Angel’s training includes an Adlerian background and generally focuses on client-centered care, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Family Systems Modalities. Angel is currently being trained in the Gottman Method, level 1.

Tiffany O'Connor MC., LAC
Licensed Associate Counselor Expressive Art Therapy

Tiffany’s experience includes working with children and adults, of various ages, as well as their families in both individual and with their family settings.  She uses Cognitive Behavioral techniques utilizing a creative approach in Expressive Art Therapy to allow one’s own personal expression guide them and their families through life’s challenges and barriers.  Her experience includes but is not limited to those struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, communication, self-awareness, life adjustments and children with Asperger/autism.   Tiffany creates a safe, non-judgmental and open environment in which to explore the gifts of each individual client.  She allows them the space to for clients to navigate, express themselves safely while learning new ways to effectively communicate with others, increase self-esteem and build more fulfilling relationships.

Tricia Hetrick, LAC

Ms. Hetrick has experience serving the elderly, adults and young adults, and children. She creates a safe, compassionate and a friendly environment to support people overcoming challenges in their life. She has five years of experience in the mental health, social services, substance abuse, and crisis intervention. Treatment areas include: * Trauma * PTSD * Anxiety and stress management * Anger management At the end of therapy clients will leave with emotions, understanding and perspectives that will lead to a healthy and useful behavior and interactions. She works with both children and adults to identify, understand, and process their trauma in a safe, carding and supportive environment. She uses evidence-based intervention strategies such as CBT and DBT.

Dianna Isles, LPC

Dianna has experience working with individuals of all ages experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, and interpersonal issues, values that every client is an individual with unique circumstances, and strives to meet them where they are. Her approach is person-centered and strengths-based, focusing on empowering the individual. Dianna believes that the most essential component to client growth and healing is a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic environment.

Karissa Springfield, LMSW

Karissa currently serves as an Associate Licensed Master Social Worker. Upon completing her Masters degree in 2021 from Wayne State University (Detroit, MI), She relocated to Arizona to pursue her purpose in clinical social work. Karissia brings a wealth of knowledge in behavioral & general mental health services across an array of populations and specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) Modalities. Specialized Client demographics: Adolescents (13-17) and Adults (18+).

Mary Harro, LPC

Ms. Harro has over 30 years of experience serving the elderly, adults, adolescents, and children providing individual, and family counseling. She creates a safe, compassionate and a friendly environment to support people overcoming challenges in their life.  She works with people in all walks of life, and with a variety of populations: children, adolescents, and adults. Desirai Browning, LAMFT

Desirai Browning is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with both a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University. Presently, she works with couples, individuals and families with adult children. During her time as a therapist, Desirai has worked with diverse cultural groups and marginalized populations, and provides an inclusive atmosphere to the broad spectrum of adult concerns. She believes in providing holistic care for clients and focuses on all aspects of a person’s life in her therapeutic approach. As a therapist, Desirai understands the enduring stigma related to seeking treatment for mental health and is devoted to opening the doors for discussion and normalizing ‘asking for help’.

Nicole Matheny
Clinical Intern


 

Nicole is pursuing her Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Ottawa University. Her passion is assisting women and teenagers with their mental health. Nicole understands from personal experience that it is easy to feel overwhelmed with life and its entirety. If you are struggling with life, you are not alone. I will meet you at whatever stage you are at, and we will walk this path together. I am here to help. On a personal note – my husband and I have two adult children and two teenagers. Sara Schneider

"Hello my name is Sara Schneider and I am a clinical intern here at Beyond Counseling. I have 4 years of Mental Health experience and 6 years experience working with children ages 6-17. Being a teacher and a daycare director in the past, my passion for working with children has driven me to continue working toward my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in 2017 with a major in psychology. Currently, I have an emphasis in trauma work under my counseling degree and plan to continue my education in trauma interventions for therapy services."

Hello! My name is Alexis Miles, and I am a Clinical Intern here at Beyond Counselors under the supervision of Aaron Jacobson LPC and Rosa Ruales LPC, LAMT. I have a BS in Behavioral Health Science and currently working towards my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. I have worked in the mental health field for five years now and I have experience in working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am committed to providing a nonjudgmental space to clients and believe that each client should receive a treatment approach that is focused on their individual goals and needs. Throughout my education, I have been interested in cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy and solution-focused therapy. I look forward to meeting you!
